I am Richard Stauffacher and I live, work, and play in New York City. Since taking a pottery class in 2005, I haven’t been able to keep my fingers out of the clay. I currently work and teach at La Mano Pottery in NYC.
Most of my inspiration is drawn from childhood summers spent at the beach, fishing on my grandpa’s boat, camping at the lake with my family, and tramping around the hills and valleys surrounding our home. I also collect broken and damaged dolls, who make frequent appearances in my work.
